GUNS DRUGS AND BAD IDEAS
[PARTY GAME] Cards Against Humanity
The game can be downloaded (virtual copy) or purchased retail (or online) for a physical copy. The game was actually created by a bunch of high school alumni for a new year’s eve party.
This game is one of the successful projects financed by the fundraising website Kickstarter. The project exceeded its goal quickly by nearly 300 percent. The makers of the game donated the $70,000 and excess to the Wikipedia foundation.
Playing the game
Here is the quote from the rules of the game retrieved from the manufacturers website (http://cardsagainsthumanity.com/):
To start the game, each player draws ten white "answer" cards. One randomly chosen player begins as the Card Czar, and plays a black "question" card. The Card Czar reads the question out to the group. Each player answers the question by passing one white "answer" card, face down, to the Card Czar. The Card Czar shuffles all of the answers, reads them out loud in a humorous fashion, and picks their favorite. Whoever played that answer gets to keep the Black Card as one Awesome Point. After each round, a new player becomes the Card Czar, and every player draws back up to ten cards.
The game is simple, comes with multiple pre-designed play rules and promotes the implementation of house rules. The game has won many awards and received high rankings on many websites and from a variety of well-respected industry critics.
